Mrs. Jill Carson- High School Science Teacher
Jill Carson grew up in Newcastle, Oklahoma. While in high school she participated in several activities and clubs such as softball, basketball, Spanish club, science club FCA and national honor society. Mrs. Carson was named to the Large Oklahoma All-state, All-city, All-conference, and KBLP All-star softball teams.
Mrs. Carson is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science and a minor in Spanish. While at the University of Oklahoma she was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll numerous times and participated in the Health and Exercise Science Student Association.
Mrs. Carson is married and resides in south Oklahoma City. In her spare time she enjoys playing competitive softball with her husband, participating in outdoor activities and spending time with family. Mrs. Carson is excited to be joining the ASTEC family and will be teaching Biology I and II.

Mr. Claude Stewart- High School Science Teacher
Claude Stewart comes to ASTEC from Bethany High School, where he also taught chemistry and physics.
He earned his BA degree and accepted an Air Force commission at Baylor University, then served a 20-year career an a navigator aboard radar surveillance aircraft, the Tactical Air Command's airborne command post, and aboard Space Command transport aircraft. After his retirement from the military he began coursework at Cameron University and at the University of Science and the Arts of Oklahoma to earn secondary education and science credits that led to Oklahoma teacher certification and endorsements for aeronautics, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and journalism.
He and his wife, Linda, have a daughter attending college in New York. His other interests include photography, astronomy, meteorology, and ham radio.
